An ever increasing variety of lines handled, shorter lead times, higher customer service levels, the reduction of picking errors and stock-outs and higher pick rates are placing ever greater demands on order picking operations, especially in existing warehouse layouts.
That’s why, like you, we’re constantly looking for new ways to further improve pick rate productivity and efficiency.
What we’ve discovered is that no matter how sophisticated your systems, the operator will always play a crucial role. That’s why ergonomic design and operator comfort remain our priorities. Yale’s extensive MO range of order pickers offer quiet, effortless operation and an abundance of thoughtful features, all focused on ensuring operators can achieve faster, more accurate, order picking.
The Yale order picker range features the innovative SEM (Separately Excited Motor) technology delivers fast laden/unladen travel speeds and excellent control. The powerful 2.6kW traction motor offers high thermal capacity – ideal for frequent stop and go operations. The battery capacity of up to 480 Ah means MO20 machines can take the toughest workloads in their stride while an optional roll-on/roll-off battery change system makes them ideal for multi-shift operations.
The Yale order picker has been designed with regenerative braking optimises the shift life of the battery and helps protect motor components. The innovative Combi controller for both traction and hydraulic functions means simpler electric components and maximum energy efficiency. Long truck life is assured thanks to the sturdy chassis and thick durable wraparound bumper plate. In addition to this, the order pickers can be custom-made into a variety of specialised configurations to suit the particular applications of any job that they could ever be tasked with.
As with all our machines, we endeavour to design our order pickers to make hard work easier for operators. To ensure order pickers can be effectively operated with minimum effort, all controls are handily placed and ergonomically designed. The tiller arm steering features a purpose-designed tiller head with angled hand grips, dual lift/lower buttons for right or left hand use and large quick-grab butterfly buttons. Creep speed advance buttons are fitted as standard, allowing the operator walking alongside to move the truck forward to the following pick stop. Electronic fly by wire steering incorporating steering wheel control is available as an optional extra. What’s more, the complete steering console can be released into a vertical position to facilitate 2nd level picking.
To maximise your pick rate productivity and use of available space, our order pickers may be fitted with guide rollers for rail guidance or inductive wire guidance, to operate in aisles only millimetres wider than the truck or load. In the guided aisle the operator can travel and lift or lower at the same time to swiftly reach the desired pick location. Also, in guide aisles, maximum speed can be maintained to higher lift heights providing a further productivity gain. They may also be used as free ranging machines in wide aisles.
