For ease of operational performance for operators, and to maximise operational efficiency, all MS stackers are fitted with clearview masts, as a standard across the range as they provide optimum visibility through the mast when stacking, retrieving and travelling. The masts also feature wire mesh guards for durable protection to ensure safety at all times for operators.
To ensure the smoothest and easiest operation of our stacker trucks, Yale has developed the powerful SEM (Separately Excited Motor) drive motors, which allow optimum laden/unladen travel speeds with high starting torque and acceleration as well as energy efficient running and excellent speed control on inclines. SEM technology also helps simplify maintenance as forward/reverse contactors are not required.
To match the power of the SEM drive motors, Yale’s innovative automatic release braking enhances the braking effect and, therefore, increases operator confidence. Operators simply release the butterfly or accelerator foot pedal and the active adjustable reverse current braking functions automatically. Regenerative braking optimises the shift life of the battery and protects motor components. It becomes active when the accelerator is released or the travel direction changed.
The Yale pedestrian stacker family unites comfort, minimum effort operation and control responsiveness to make light work of your load handling. All our models feature responsive controls on the tiller head, with ergonomic handgrips, low butterfly actuation, left/right hand side operation and bottom-mounted offset tiller arms. For ease of access, all the control functions have been neatly grouped on the tiller head and angled handle grips alleviate wrist strain. Large butterfly buttons provide smooth start-up speed, controlled acceleration and fast travel speeds, which can be programmed separately in forward and reverse travel modes. These ergonomic buttons also open and close the electromagnetic parking brake and provide automatic reverse current braking on release. Stacker models feature soft start/stop push button control with adjustable fast/slow speed settings. The stacker models feature lift/lower control buttons in addition to the soft start/stop buttons (available as an optional extra). The reverse button located on top of the tiller head automatically reverses the direction of travel when activated and brings the truck to a stop.
All Yale stackers boast innovative MOSFET high frequency Combi controllers which regulate both traction and hydraulic functions. This allows quiet, smooth, fine positioning control; especially useful when performing delicate inching and lift/lower manoeuvres. With simple wiring and easy-to-maintain electric components, Combi controllers are less dependent on maintenance-sensitive contactors; which means less downtime and greater cost efficiency.
To minimise downtime and maximise efficiency, the comprehensive instrumentation includes an hourmeter, a battery discharge indicator with lift interrupt and a coded error display for fast, easy diagnostics. In addition to this, models feature drive wheel position indicators to ensure total operator control.
