Hystandard buys Yale Forklift Assets in Sydney

We have to grow to support our employees and customers

Created on Monday, December 14, 2009

Hystandard Handling Equipment and NACCO Materials Handling Group, Inc. (Hyster®, Yale®) have signed an agreement under which Hystandard Handling Equipment will acquire certain assets of NACCO Materials Handling Group's Yale® retail operations in Sydney.

Hystandard Handling Equipment, "The forklift specialists" was established in 1983 and has promoted NACCO Materials Handling Group, Inc. (Hyster®, Yale®)  Hyster product since 1997.

Yale product is identical to Hyster product and the two brands are manufactured side by side in NMHG factories worldwide. Component parts are fully interchangeable between brands.

Therefore we see this as a strategic opportunity to increase our customer base and add the Yale brand to our product offering.

Hystandard Handling Equipment are always looking for opportunities to grow our business and this acquisition will enhance Hystandard's sales, rental, service and parts capability. This will enable us to better support our customers and provide more opportunities for our employees.

The acquisition allows us to continue to build on our technology based business, improving our service capability and growing our forklift fleet to over 2000 units under management.

Whilst the acquisition is a significant step forward for Hystandard, we will continue to increase our presence where we see prudent opportunities for growth.

We would like to thank all of our staff, customers and suppliers for their committed support over the last 26 years and look forward to working with you and serving you going forward.

John Flinn

Director
